NYC Brooklyn Bridge | Central Park Engagement

May + Alex

These two lovebirds are adorable from inside to out! I’ll be shooting their wedding next year in Houston, TX at the Bell Tower on 34th. I was beyond excited to be able to come to their current home for a New York style engagement session. We started early for a sunrise view of the NYC skyline from Brooklyn Bridge Park. It’s October and the weather was 50 degrees but May & Alex were troopers in their black tie formal wear. They really look magical and so classy. The Brooklyn Bridge was our next stop where we dodged early risers for some breath taking photos. We walked the entire way across the bridge so definitely got our exercise in. After an outfit change we headed to Central Park and hit up some the romantic and notable spots such as Bethesda Fountains and the Mall. We worked up an appetite and got to go to one of May & Alex’s popular brunch spots, Jacob’s Pickles! Wow, what an amazing adventure with these precious people. I can’t wait for their wedding day in 2020!!

Cannon Beach Destination Engagement

Sara + Mark

This past week I received the honor of working with good friends from Midland/Odessa, TX. Their hearts were set on a destination engagement session in Oregon after they fell in love with Cannon Beach photos I had done in the past. Of course I was ready and willing to return to Oregon, as it is one of my very favorite places on Earth. We stayed right on the beach close to Haystack Rock and it was the most peaceful time I have ever had there. We shot over the course of two days and worked around the weather. It was a bit cloudy but we did get to see the sun come out at times. We were able to capture a variety of woodys, beach, and even night shots. Congrats to Sara and Mark! Im looking forward to shooting their destination wedding as well. Just wait till you see the epic chapel these guys are getting married in!

Whitney + Rodney

Whitney & Rodney really looked amazing today during their classy glam session. We started their engagement photos off at their wedding venue, LIFE HTX. LIFE HTX had some great options for getting the high fashion look that the couple were wanting. I had fun using a mix of different light, including natural, strobe, speedlights/gels. After leaving the venue Whitney and Rodney wanted to go to Houston’s graffiti wall for something a little more fun and relaxed. I usually don’t shoot outdoor sessions during mid day but luckily it had been rainy and was cloudy, so the light was soft. These love birds looked super cute in their black in white sporty wear. Nice job on the snazzy outfits today. You guys rock!

Woodsy & Whimsical Conroe TX Engagement Session

Lexi + Michael

I had a blast shooting Lexi’s sister Adriana’s wedding last spring and we were able to meet and talk about wedding plans. It’s super cool when I get to work with a family multiple times. The Woodlands /Conroe, TX area was the perfect location for this Houston couples vision for a romantic and whimsical engagement session. We explored deep into the woods until we found the perfect spots with moody light. It’s late April and we definitely broke a sweat but it was worth the extra effort. These guys were so chill and down for anything. I especially loved their serious faces but we got some many fun moments too. Every time I said, “now give me steamy” they busted out laughing. It was a beautiful and therapeutic day in the woods at WG Jones State Forest. No mosquitos yet so we lucked out! Looking forward to Lexi & Micheal’s wedding in July. I’ll be wearing a tank top. lol. Just kidding, I’ll wear a tie with it too. :)
